Refunds and transfers
No refunds
All passes are non-refundable. A ticket to a cultural event carries no 14-day right of withdrawal under section 1837(j) of the Czech Civil Code. This applies to single and couple passes, and to any promotional or discounted purchase.
Transfer to another person
If you cannot attend, you can pass your ticket to someone else. The new holder takes your place with their own name and details. Each pass admits one person and scans only once, so once transferred, your original QR code no longer works and a new one is issued to the new holder.
- The transfer fee is 10 EUR, paid by card at the moment of the transfer. It covers reissuing the pass and the new QR code. The fee is not refundable and the price of the pass itself does not change.
- Transfers are possible until 25 February 2027, online only. A pass cannot be transferred at the venue, and the check-in desk cannot do it for you.
- A pass that has already been scanned at the door cannot be transferred.
- The festival does not mediate any payment between the two people. Whatever the new holder pays you for the pass is between you.
- Give the new holder's name exactly as it appears on their identity document. The name on the pass is checked against an ID at check-in, so a nickname, a maiden name or a different spelling can mean the new holder is turned away.
How to transfer a pass
It takes about a minute and you do it yourself, without writing to anyone.
- Open your ticket. The link is in the email that delivered it, and looks like bachataczechrepublic.com/t/<your-ticket-id>. That id is a private code in the link itself, not the BCR27 number printed on the pass.
- Choose Transfer to someone else. It takes you to bachataczechrepublic.com/transfer-ticket/<your-ticket-id>.
- Enter the new holder's full name, exactly as on their ID, and their email address.
- Pay the 10 EUR fee by card.
- The new pass is emailed to the new holder straight away. Your original QR code stops working at that moment.
Lost the email? Go to bachataczechrepublic.com/transfer-ticket, put in the BCR27 number printed on your pass together with the email address the pass was sent to, and we will send the link straight back to that address. We never show the link on a public page, because anyone holding it is holding the ticket.
If that still does not work, check your spam folder, then write to tickets@bachataczechrepublic.com from the address you paid with.
Exceptional cases
If the festival is cancelled by the organizer, passes are refunded or moved to the rescheduled dates at your choice. Individual exceptions are decided by the organizer case by case.
