Terms and conditions
1. The festival and the organizer
These terms govern the purchase of a full pass to Bachata Czech Republic Festival 2027, organised by the Bachata Czech Republic team. By buying a pass you agree to these terms.
2. Passes and admission
A full pass admits one named person to the workshops, parties and social dancing across all three festival days, subject to the published programme. Each pass carries a personal QR code and scans once per person. A couple pass consists of two separate passes, one per dancer.
Bring an ID. A pass is personal. At check-in we compare the name on the pass with the name on your identity document, so enter the name exactly as it appears there. If the two do not match, admission can be refused and the pass is not refunded. A name can be corrected free of charge before the festival, and at the check-in desk during it — write to info@bachataczechrepublic.com rather than turning up with a pass in someone else's name.
- You choose each dancer's role at checkout: leader, follower or role rotation.
- The organizer may adjust the programme, artists, schedule and venue rooms where necessary.
- The organizer may refuse admission to anyone behaving in a way that endangers others or breaches the code of conduct.
3. Price and payment
Prices are shown in EUR and are all-in, with no booking fee. The price depends on the phase at the moment of purchase and rises at each published deadline. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; the organizer does not store your card details.
4. Refunds and transfers
Tickets are non-refundable. A ticket to a cultural event carries no 14-day right of withdrawal under section 1837(j) of the Czech Civil Code. A pass can instead be transferred to another person for a 10 EUR fee, online only and until 25 February 2027, see the refund and transfer policy.
5. Your data
The details you provide (name, email, city, phone, role) are used to issue your pass, to check you in at the door and to contact you about this festival — changes to the programme, your ticket, practical information before you travel.
Your identity document is only looked at during check-in. We do not copy it, photograph it or record any number from it.
We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to anyone else for their own marketing. See the privacy information for how your data is handled.
6. Liability
You take part in workshops and social dancing at your own responsibility. The organizer is not liable for personal injury or loss beyond what applicable law requires. In case of force majeure the organizer may reschedule the event; passes remain valid for the rescheduled dates.
7. Photo and video
The festival is photographed and filmed throughout: workshops, the social parties, the shows and the Jack and Jill competition. Our photo and video team works in every room across the three days.
By entering the venue you accept that you may appear in that material, and that we may use it to present and promote the festival — on this website, on our social channels, in the aftermovie, in press material and in advertising for later editions. Nothing is paid for this, on either side.
Two things we will not do: we will not sell your image to anyone else for their own advertising, and we will not publish a picture that puts you in a false or degrading light.
If you would rather not appear
- Say so to the photographer at the time. They will respect it, and it is easier for everyone than a takedown later.
- If something is already published, write to media@bachataczechrepublic.com with the link, or with the day and the room if you do not have one. We remove it from our own channels as quickly as we can, normally within a few working days.
- What we cannot undo: printed material already handed out, and anything other people have already shared or reposted from their own accounts.
Filming and photographing yourself
- Filming your own dancing, your partner and your friends is welcome. Tag us and we may share it.
- Shooting professionally, for a client, a brand or a paid commission, needs written accreditation from us first. Ask at media@bachataczechrepublic.com.
- Do not block the dance floor or a workshop to get a shot, and do not film in the changing areas.
Competition, shows and children
- The competition and the shows are recorded and may be streamed. Entering them means accepting that the recording is published.
- For anyone under 18 the decision belongs to a parent or guardian. Tell us at check-in if you do not want your child photographed and we will pass it to the team.
Anything to do with photos and video — a takedown, an accreditation, a complaint about how a request was handled — goes to media@bachataczechrepublic.com and reaches the organizers directly.
