Prague has grown into one of the busiest bachata cities in Europe. It hosts several international bachata events a year, with artists from all over the world and dancers from more than 40 countries. This guide lists the bachata festivals in Prague in 2027, what each one is known for, and how to choose. We organise one of them, Bachata Czech Republic Festival, and we have tried to describe the others fairly. Bachata Czech Republic Festival, 26 to 28 February 2027
Bachata Czech Republic Festival (BCR) is a three-day international festival founded by the dance couple Jorge y Mónica. The first edition drew around 600 dancers from more than 40 countries.
- Where: Hotel Olympik Artemis, U Sluncové 14, Prague 8. The halls, the hotel rooms and the restaurant are all in one place, so you never need a coat between a workshop and your room.
- Workshops: Sensual Fusion, Sensual-Traditional Fusion, Bachata Fusion, Dominican Bachata, Bachata Conversation, RoleRotation, Bachazouk and Bachata con Reggaeton, plus reggaeton classes, with international artists and DJs.
- Parties: a welcome party on Friday, a gala night with shows on Saturday, a farewell party on Sunday. 100% bachata.
- Competition: the official Czech qualifier of the Bachata Social World Cup, a social Jack and Jill whose champions go to the World Finals in Geneva.
- Language: English throughout.
- Passes: Full Pass and Partner Up, with prices rising at each published phase. See tickets.

Prague Bachata Dominant Congress, April 2027
The Prague Bachata Dominant festival is run by the Dominant team together with CORE. Its 2026 edition took place in September at Hotel Artemis with a Fusion meets Spain theme, workshops on two floors, three parties and a Jack and Jill. The 2027 congress is listed for 23 to 25 April 2027, again at Hotel Artemis, with artists from the Bachata Influence and CORE teams. Check the organiser's page for the final line-up.

Bachata Magic Festival Prague, October 2027
Bachata Magic is one of the longest-running bachata brands in Prague. It celebrated ten years in 2026 and has also run a sensual-focused autumn edition. For 2027 a World Mastery Edition takes place on 22 to 24 October 2027 at Port7 in Prague 7. The line-up and programme had not been published when we wrote this.

Bachata Balance Prague Congress, June 2027
The Bachata Balance team runs a Prague congress in early summer. The 2027 edition is on 18 to 20 June 2027 at the National House Vinohrady (Národní dům na Vinohradech) in Prague 2. Check the organiser's page for the line-up.

How to choose a bachata festival in Prague
- Season. February is low season: cheaper flights and hotels, quiet sights. Spring and autumn are milder but busier.
- Styles. Look at the workshop list and the artists. A festival with several styles is easier for your first time.
- Venue. A festival where you can sleep in the venue saves a lot of time and taxis at 5 am.
- Competition. If you want to compete, check which festival hosts which series. BCR is the Czech qualifier of the Bachata Social World Cup.
- Price phases. Most festivals, BCR included, raise prices at published deadlines, so check the phases before you decide. Festival passes explained covers how this works.
Where to stay for a Prague bachata festival
For BCR, stay in the venue: Hotel Olympik Artemis and the Olympik Congress next door take bookings at a festival rate. See accommodation. The venue is in Prague 8, between Karlín and the metro station Invalidovna on line B, so the centre is about ten minutes away.
Getting to Prague
Václav Havel Airport has direct flights from most European cities. From the airport, bus 100 and metro line B take you straight to Invalidovna, near the festival venue. Prague is also well connected by train to Berlin, Vienna, Munich, Bratislava and Budapest. Every route is in our travel guide.
